The Internet


TV broadcasting is one of Red Square Group of Companies’ priority areas. Over the years of its operation the holding has implemented a variety of projects of the widest array many of which have become landmarks in the Russian TV history. Programmes produced by Red Square appear on central Russian channels and are intended for a widest viewing audience. They include programmes as The Voice, Russia’s Got Talent!, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, Projektorperishilton, Pride of the Nation, Intervilles, At This Time of Night, Control Purchase, Fashion Court, Let’s Get Married!, GorDon Quixote, Private Screening, Russian Inventor and many more. What they have in common is an invariably high quality thanks to which Red Square’s products are deservedly popular among Russian viewers. Besides that, Red Square introduced some one of a kind TV formats popular not only in Russia but also globally.


Red Square GC is actively involved in making and producing TV series, documentaries and feature films. Just like in other areas of its activities, Red Square GC releases films intended for very different audiences. Red Square’s works include the TEFI award winner, a resonant series The School, a melodrama Vera’s Attempt, a popular situation comedy Garages, and a remake of a cult TV series Prison Break. The Internet

The Internet is a relatively new direction of Red Square’s activities. However, Red Square has already achieved significant successes in this area. Just within two years Red Star (the national summary charts) music portal and several other projects were created, which are not only official web-sites but also independent services of popular TV programmes produced by Red Square — Control Purchase, Fashion Court etc. An active work goes on in social networks, and new unique Internet projects are being developed.

Channel One Russia is one of the biggest TV channels in Russia. It has the largest coverage of the Russian audience, nearly 98% of the country’s population. Since June 2011 the channel has switched over to broadcasting in the 16:9 aspect ratio. Since December 2012 it has switched over to broadcasting in HD format. The channel broadcasts from Moscow, the headquarters are located in Ostankino TV Centre.

Russia 1

"Russia-1" — the all-Russian state TV-channel. Is part of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. One of the two national TV-channels which broadcasts almost the entire territory of Russia.

Russia 2

"Russia 2" — a TV channel which broadcasts the key sporting events of Russian, European and global significance. Is part of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. Every day on the air — live broadcasts of the most prestigious competitions. Also, the structure of the broadcast channel includes sports news and analysis programs, travel and adventure, science and technology, action-packed movie.

Russia 24

"Russia 24" — the Russian federal state news channel. Is part of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company.


CTC TV channel started broadcasting in December 1996 and today it firmly holds the leader’s position in the segment of entertainment television effectively combining Russian and international programmes broadcasting, with young audience as a main target group. CTC’s motto is Entertainment Channel One.

TV Centr

TV Centr is one of the leading Russian TV companies whose programmes first went on air on June 9, 1997. Today TV viewers in all 83 regions of the country watchTV Centr day-and-night. TV Centr is a Moscow-based channel reporting on different aspects of life in the capital, but at the same time it is addressed to the whole country’s audience.


NTV is a Russia-wide TV channel which began broadcasting back in 1993. It covers about 77% of the country. Its total distribution network covers 75% of the country’s population. According to surveys, NTV audience in Russia exceeds 120 million people. The channel’s current style was worked out in 2004.


REN-TV started broadcasting on January 1, 1997. Now the channel focuses on the active middle aged audience (30-45-years). The channels’ programmes and employees repeatedly were winners of TEFI national TV prize and other professional awards.


Peretz is a Russian federal TV channel. The broadcasting schedule is built on original entertainment programmes of their own production as well as popular Russian programmes. It started broadcasting on June 7, 1999 under the name of Daryal TV. Since 2002 it was renamed to DTV. The channel broadcasts in more than 400 Russian cities. Peretz is the “first lightweight TV channel for those adults who have some drive left in their souls”.


TV-3 — multigenre entertainment channel that combines a variety of products of domestic and foreign production: serials, television programs, documentary reconstruction, show, reality, documentary series and interesting movie.

Moscow 24

"Moscow 24" — urban around-the-clock news channel.


KHL TV — Russia's first channel dedicated to ice hockey. The main concept of its broadcasting policy — coverage of the KHL tournament in Russia and CIS.


Karusel is a Russia-wide round-the-clock TV channel for children and young people. It is a joint product of Channel One and All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK). It started broadcasting on December 27, 2010. The channel for children and young people was established on the base of Telenyanya (Channel One/Global Network CJSC) and Bibigon (VGTRK Federal State Unitary Enterprise) channels.


RBC channel is the first and only business TV channel in Russia. RBC channel has managed to unite two concepts of broadcasting — news and analysis. At present regular viewers of the channel are residents of nearly 600 cities in Russia, CIS and Baltic States.


RU.TV is the first music TV channel in the world that has implemented a new broadcasting principle and broadcasts music only in Russian. After all, a person who grows up in Russia and is brought up in Russian traditions would seek for songs in their native language no matter what mood they are in.


The company is one of the largest creators, producers and distributors of cult projects in the world of entertainment television. It has such well-known brands as Russia’s Got Talent!, Name That Tune, Total Blackout, Russian Inventor and Hole in the Wall.


A Dutch media company owned by John de Mol. It is a complete cycle company and is involved in production and distribution of TV projects. Famous for creating The Voice project.

Sony Pictures Television

The largest producer of TV content — from TV series to television movies. In the area of TV production and distribution the company has more than 35,000 episodes, more than 270 TV series and more than 22,000 editions of game shows including Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and The Power of 10 in its library.


Annually the company produces around 20,000 hours of content in different genres including entertainment, reality shows, game programmes and many more. Among other projects, the company owns such global blockbusters as Wipeout and Operacion Triunfo.

Launched in January 2010 as a ProSiebenSat.1 Group company, Red Arrow Entertainment Group comprises 17 dynamic TV production companies across 9 countries, powerful global creative partnerships, and a leading program distribution house. Famous for creating My Man Can project.


All3Media is one of the largest British TV production companies engaged in production of TV programmes of different formats. It has created a large number of well-known projects including the most popular of all, The Cube.

Banijay International

Banijay International is relatively young (established in 2008), but it has already become a well-known producer company which proves itself as a creator of new unique projects in the area of entertainment television. The largest popularity is enjoyed by the format Stars in Danger: The High Dive.

The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) is an American commercial broadcasting television network. This one is a US TV company. It is one of the top TV companies in the world. FOX is a creator of a great number of world-known TV series, particularly Prison Break.


An Italian company which is the main Italian mass media and the largest TV company in the country. Among others, the company owns one of the most well-known TV series — The Mall (Centovetrine).


An Argentinian television network that includes its own channel and production, and now is also engaged in TV content distribution. The network specializes in TV series production and licensing. It is also the owner of a series well known to the Russian viewer — Turning Points.
