This documentary film tells how future stars were selected, how they were taught, how songs were written for them. All of this will be told by the “fabricants”’ producers: Victor Drobysh, Igor Matvienko, Maxim Fadeev, Valery and Konstantin Meladze.
The film will feature the graduates of different Factories: Sati Kazanova, Anastasiya Prikhodko, Mark Tishman, Dominick Joker, Stas Pjecha, Elena Temnikova, Natalya Podolskaya, Dmitriy Bikbaev, Victoria Mango, Vika Dayneko, Zara. They nostalgically recall those times, but back then it seemed that “fabricants” themselves didn’t know what they got themselves into. They were almost children who were forced to rehearse, do dances and diet day and night. Strengths and nerves were at their limit, many of them were even thinking of leaving the Factory, just deserting!
Who of the Fabricants has really made it and stays afloat to this day, and what did it cost them? And do those who failed regret missing the chance given to them by fate? They had everything: the best teachers, eminent producers, composers and choreographers, and Channel One’s airtime!
The film will show the chronicle of the “factory times”: qualifications, behind-the-scenes footage, rehearsals, concerts, fabricants’ conversations with teachers and psychologists.
